IMIAK KHAN @ VOGUE

Some oft he photographers do not appreciate it so much being published in the Photo-Vogue. I find it  important and I‘ll tell You why: the Italian Photo-Vogue mostly publishes pictures which are not typical for the fashion- or modelbusiness. They are searching for something special, for a good idea, for a vision in a picture.

This is exactly my idea of photography & art. So the Italian Photo-Vogue is a fantastic parameter if my ideas, my art, my picture have got this special touch. So, being published in this fantastic magazine is like reiceiving knighthood: And I’m proud of it !

Model: Lilia Kutlina

Agency: Jademodels London

Location: Porto Colom/Mallorca

Photographer: Imiak Khan

Lilia Kutlina is an international working, russian model who was very successful especially in Asian markets. When I suggested her my idea to create a picture with a Burka made of toilet-paper and two provocative symbols like the low neckline and the alcohol, she replied: "We will do this shoot, but I am sure, it will never ever be published in the Photo-Vogue". However after a few days it was accepted there ! Lilia then mentioned in several medias that this was the highlight of her long and successful career, which made me very proud.

"old house"

Location: Sineu/Mallorca

Photographer: Imiak Khan

Having discovered that the Italian Photo Vogue also has a category for landscape & building photography, I started a try to create a picture in the style of this fantastic magazine -  without a model -  with only an old building. Near the Mallorquin village Sineu I then discovered this interesting old house. This "Finca rustica" was my key to the next publication in the Photo-Vogue. It was published a few weeks after the shoot with Lilia Kutlina.

People-Model: Maria

Location: Porto Colom/Mallorca

Photographer: Imiak Khan

In the little fishing village "Porto Colom" I met Maria. She was waiting for the bus and because it was a very hot day, she was standing in the shadow. I really liked this picture and wanted to save this moment. So I asked her for permission to do this picture. She agreed and tried a posing like a professional model. This gave the picture a special touch, it was amazing and touching somehow. I loved this picture from the first moment and was very glad that the team of the Photo-Vogue also liked Maria & my picture of her.

Model: Buket Cakir

Agency: Jademodels London

Fashion: Ewa Zbaraza/Hotkultur

Location: Vienna/Austria

Photographer: Imiak Khan

In Austria I had the opportunity of shooting with the turkish Topmodel Buket Cakir. She is a Fashionweek-Model who worked in several international markets, in America, China, India, Singapore, Germany, Austria, Turkey and so on. She was booked for many different important Fashionweeks all over the world. I met her to do a Cover-Shoot for the Austrian magazine "Die Salzburgerin" and asked her for a second shoot. My idea was to do a shoot with filter effects like the fantastic David Hamilton did. Using a mirror this amazing result was created and published once more in the Italian Photo-Vogue.

"talking dog"

Location: Funchal/Madeira

Photographer: Imiak Khan

On Madeira Island i was visiting the capital Funchal. After a little walk in the mountains i saw this dog. From the first moment i realized his  very interesting and interested look. The surrounding was this kind of background i prefer, little damages, old style, overgrown ground. The finished picture was telling a story. A story about a talking dog. Finally it was the 5.th release in the Italian Photo Vogue.

"Chili"

Location: Mercado Funchal/Madeira

Photographer: Imiak Khan

While visiting the famous market in Funchal on Madeira Island, i saw a wall of chillies. It was like a picture to me and i wanted to save this moment. From the first moment i was sure: "This is something for the Italian Photo Vogue". The result? My 6.th publication.
